This is your golden hour—a space to breathe, reflect, and begin again.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, stress, relationship strain, parenting challenges, grief, trauma, or simply feeling overwhelmed, we’ll work to make sense of it and explore new paths forward.
I’m a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) and Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. I offer in-person therapy in Port Moody and virtual sessions across Canada. My approach is warm, honest, and grounded in meaningful conversations that build trust and connection.
Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken. It’s a space to remember what’s always been strong in you. Together, we can explore what’s been weighing you down, get curious about what’s holding you back, and begin to uncover new ways of moving through life — with more clarity and calm.
You’re welcome here—exactly as you are.
No shame. No judgment. Just a safe place to feel and begin again.
Therapy offers a chance to slow down, reflect deeply, and reconnect with what matters most. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, trauma, parenting struggles, or relationship concerns, I offer a calm and consistent presence. This is a space where you don’t have to carry it all on your own.
The name Golden Hour Counselling comes from that quiet moment just after sunrise, when the light softens, the world feels clearer, and a gentle calm starts to settle in. It is a moment of stillness and possibility, a reminder that healing can begin in small, meaningful ways.
In medicine, the golden hour also refers to the critical first hour after a traumatic event — a window when timely care can make all the difference. I carry both meanings into my work. Whether you are arriving in crisis or simply longing for a moment of calm, I aim to meet you with warmth, clarity, and deep respect for your experience.
As a counsellor and a father, I understand how overwhelming life’s changes can be. My role is to help you untangle what feels heavy, build emotional resilience, and move forward with renewed clarity and purpose. I bring both clinical training and lived experience to the work, along with honesty, empathy, and a grounded, human approach.
therapeutic approach
Healing begins with feeling seen. It is not about pushing pain away or forcing change. It is about creating space for understanding, connection, and growth. The mind and body hold onto what has not yet been processed, and therapy offers the chance to slow down, listen deeply, and make sense of what has been carried for too long.
I meet each person with curiosity, presence, and respect for their experiences. Healing is not about quick fixes or advice. It is about honest reflection, emotional safety, and the right conditions for change. Together, we will explore patterns, make sense of what feels stuck, and move toward something more grounded, clear, and real.
My approach is integrative, flexible, and shaped by what each person needs. I work from a trauma-informed and person-centred foundation and hold specialized certifications in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (C-DBT), ADHD Clinical Services (ADHD-CCSP), and Complex Trauma Treatment – Level 1 & 2 (CCTP-II). These trainings inform the work we do, alongside a broader blend of approaches grounded in compassion, collaboration, and practical tools.
Depending on your goals, we may draw from a range of evidence-based approaches, including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Shifting unhelpful thought patterns
Solution-Focused Therapy: Identifying strengths and finding practical steps forward
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Supporting emotional regulation and coping strategies
Harm Reduction: Encouraging realistic, compassionate choices
ADHD-informed Strategies: Fostering focus, self-acceptance, and sustainable tools across the lifespan
Trauma Processing Approaches: Gently addressing what the body and mind have held onto, at your own pace
More than anything, therapy is a space to feel understood. I’m here to walk alongside you.

Reaching Out Takes Courage
It is not easy to ask for help. To admit that something feels heavy. To say out loud what has been held inside for so long. But healing begins in that moment of honesty, when you allow yourself to be seen and supported.
If you are ready, I am here to listen.
